Think Green

Think Green by Dimensions

I hate and will always hate the writing on this but I couldn't think of how to change it and considering it was the last thing I did it was a little late to back out of the cross stitch by then. Despite my hatred of the back stitching on the writing I'm pretty happy with the rest. The frog is just too cute :-)

Stitched on 14-ct white cotton Aida

He's in a frame in my kitchen now, probably looking down and judging my chocolate intake and use of chemicals (i love bleach great stuff)

All right Mr. DeMille, I'm ready for my close-up:

Candyfloss

A Popcorn Candyfloss kit I picked up at the Craft & Quilt Fair Melbourne. The kit had clearly been around for a while but looked very cute. She was a wee bit beyond my skill level but I got there in the end. The photo's not the best but it's the best I have on hand, I might post a better one when I get a chance. She has little french knots on her shoes and a tiny curl where I messed up one of her 1/3 stitches.

She had way too many fractions for my skill level but the finished product still looked very sweet.

She's in a frame and looking cute on the bookshelf. (is bookshelf still the correct term when it's used entirely for dvds?)

Just a Quicky

Quick-stitch soldier

The beginning of the end. I picked up this little guy with a magazine in 2011 as a free kit. And on completion the seed of a crazy stitcher was germinating.

His hands are meant to be in grey and his beads are wonky in this shot but on a whole quite happy with him. He still graces my fridge as a magnet to this day (2013).

Little Heart

Pretty sure I brought this one off the ebay seller rolstek, It was so very very cute and the plastic canvas was easy to work with. Before I managed to finish it though I lost the keyring/phone strap part, the one you can see in the photo was cannibalised from one of those $2 toy machine keyring toys of which I have a disturbing number.

If you look closely at the purple in the rainbow you might see that three stitches are the wrong way round. Unfortunately I didn't notice until it was stitched together and therefore too late. I still love it despite my error.

Hight Tea @ Home

Home High Tea;
meybe a little too much food for 3 people.
It was fun and delicious though.

Home made scones, lemon curd mini tarts and sandwiches, fresh cream, strawberry cake and a small plate of bakery treats. And lets not forget the tea and jam.

Pimms punch, cheese and crackers and chocolate truffles. We do this with style.
