Game of Thrones Bookmark

Game of Thrones: Bookmark

... I don't think I really want to admit how long this took me to finish.  I started around June 2012 then put it down. Didn't touch it again until March 2013. I finished it in a rush for my boyfriend's birthday April 2013. Only just made it.

It's not his favourite house but when I started it I knew next to nothing about Game of Thrones and had grand plans of stitching all the bookmarks black-lupin had created. In hindsight that was a little ambitious. I might do a few more because this one turned out well and was very well received as a gift but it's not the highest priority I have.

Stitched on plastic canvas and finished with black felt.

As it was June 2012;

And finished (I did the felt back after it was gifted, it was all I could do to get all the cross stitching done in time);

Burnt to Perfection

Burnt to Perfection by Sue Hillis Designs

I saw this pattern and knew it was perfect for my boyfriend. I brought the pattern and all the bits I needed in one swoop then again put it aside and didn't touch it. So his birthday was coming up and I didn't think a single bookmark no matter how much work had gone into it was really enough. So I dusted off the patten and had at it. I finishd the cross stitch at 2am on the day of his birthday... I was so so tired.
I had to unpick the B in burnt 3 times for various reasons. I also messed up the 'e' in Perfection. But by that time I was so tired and it would have involved so much frogging I decided to just improvise. I figured he wouldn't mind as long as it didn't look bad. (I didn't think it did) and I was right he loved it.
Stitched on 25 Count Summer Khaki Aida Fabric Lugana FabricLugana: 52% cotton, 48% viscose. It promotes itself as easy to use and it is.
